I've been considering getting a pre-paid cell phone for emergency use because I'm tired of paying a ton for a phone that I can't use--making calls on it is a huge additional expense. So I'm thinking about a pre-paid cell phone. The only thing is I don't understand how it all works. For instance, I was looking at a TracPhone thing, and it has a card that you buy which says
