The droid was following her and yet it wasn't asking her questions. This puzzled Katarine. She wasn't sure who would program a droid to sneak around. There were practical uses of such things but she assumed she was being watched to make sure she didn't snoop. When the droid hesitated outside the laboratory Kat figured that wasn't the case. Sicaria travelled cross-country for nearly three hours in order to find a suitably remote location. Like most civilizations the Serenno authorities were too focused on regular means of conveyance. The concept that someone could abandon all technology in favor of raw nature was alien to them. As Sicaria closed with the Jedi, Mikel managed to suprise her again. The sightless Jedi was actually charging her! As they closed she brought her saber forward for a thrusting spear that would drive right through him, only to be caught by his sweep. The hit was hard and it succeeded in breaking her grip; as the Jedi intended, both their weapons went flying and a second later they were a tangle of limbs.

Tackling her, however, wasn't the best tactic the Jedi could think of....

Opportunity and preparation only meant so much, and it seemed as though the second was something that was used by his opponent as well. Mikel didn't get the satisfaction of feeling any of his strikes get the resistance that he would have hoped for, the type that would have made his muscles mass actually useful. It was true that Sicaria was a woman, and not a large one at that. It was, therefore, only sensible that her defensive technique was based on deflection and evasion rather than direct opposition. In evading Mikel's attacks Sicaria's saber was more a fulcrum for the assassin to move her body about rather than the other way around - merely a shield to keep between herself and the Jedi's weapon.
