Yes because roleplaying is SO SERIOUS. Honestly, people are getting way to worked up. A simple ye or nay would suffice.

Roleplaying isn't serious. But running the board where the roleplaying is done......that i take very seriously. This is a portion of my daily life for 10 years. The time, energy and effort spent here is very real. And it has always been those few who don't appreciate what it takes to make this all happen that have been the weak link in...

I don't care what's gone on--it's a star wars roleplaying board. As far as I know, no one was murdered, raped or anything else truly horrible, so wtf?

I know I missed all the drama, and I'm sure it was all very scarring, but seriously? Is it really worth getting that upset about?

And Karin, I have no idea who you are, but calling me and a bunch of other people bitches, really doesn't lend credence to anything you're saying.

You don't understand what has transpired in the past between Korran and TSC's members. Korran has said some things that would make you question his upbringing. I want nothing more than for everybody to grow up and get over it, but I can't stand idly by while he plays the victim.

If you felt that you were dismissed like a child then perhaps it's because you were actting like a child. For months you were nothing but aggressive and downright abusive to TSC's members. I kid you not, Korran... the staff forum was littered with complaints about you. It got old after a while. By the time you tried to offer real ideas and advice you had established such a poor rapport with the staff and members that no one wanted to work with you.

My problem with this is that if this does get passed and you all take hold of it and start off strong with a good group of members and staffers, what happens when people start losing interest and going inactive. Now, given I'm sure there are a lot of people pulling for this and willing to make the change in their Character's life for it, that doesn't throw out the possibilty that if this doesn't work in say a month or so, when the faction drops out the bottom, what happens to...

Subgroups don't have the chance of increasing activity like new factions do. They're just not as appealing.

There's not much of a difference between a subgroup and a legit faction. If we're gonna do this, might as well go all the way instead of half-assing it.

Nah, seriously. Sub-groups don't work. Yes, they were done for awhile at TGU but even then they were only really half-good. For the sith it doesn't work, plus you've got the whole staff problem. Trust me, that's not the best way to handle it at all. It is better to just make a new faction. Give it its own identity, and let it sink or swim. I truly believe it will succeed.
