Step 2) The guy realised that though a topless coffee shop was inevitably going to be controversial, it would make a lot of money. Step 3) The guy decided to try and expand the topless, and controversial, coffee shop and in the process made it even more public. Step 4) The guy realised that, as a result of some of Americans' overreactions, the coffee shop could easily end up with a lot of damage. Step 5) The guy decided NOT to take out insurance. I think that on a scale of 1-10 for entrepreneurship, he's a -4. What you do is get insurance on something that is 'morally repulsive' to a few dangerous individuals and goad them into destroying it so you make a massive profit out of the insurance. It's what Bill Gates did

For a parody version, see the Daily Show Global Edition (for hilarious British impressions and conversations about moats). #1: PM Popularity. Gordon Brown, our current Prime Minister, was the Chancellor of the Exchequer (in charge of the British economy) for the decade before he took over. As a result, his popularity (which was already a little poor) was shot down by the recent economic problems as people felt he should have done more to prevent it. #2: MP Expenses Scandal. Over the last month or two there have been a reasonably large amount of problems with MP expenses. You see, Members of Parliament in the UK get expenses covered, including travel to and from London, a second house (as they have to live in their constituency and in London for a variety of reasons) etc. Apparently, however, some MPs have been abusing it - ranging from hotel porn to false-tudor-decor; from main home furniture to a personal moat; from an unnecessary second house to an illegal third house - and as a result the popularity of the UK's parliament is a bit poor. #3: Call for Election. In the UK, the dates of elections are not fixed but rather rely on the government to call them. Because of the MP expenses and the economy, allegedly, the leaders of the Conservative and Liberal Democrat Parties (Labour is the governing Party) have repeatedly asked Gordon Brown to call an election. As the corrupt MPs are from all mainstream parties, some of his own party have done so too. #4: Call for PM Resignation. People within the Labour Party that don't like Gordon Brown, and people from other parties, have requested that the Prime Minister stands down from the position and holds a leadership contest (regardless of whether he calls an election). #5: MP Resignations. Some Cabinet (i.e. government) Ministers have resigned as a result of some of the above. Some MPs who were particularly disgraced by the expenses scandal have resigned. Some are holding a by-election and are re-running. #6: Today (Thursday) Elections. European Parliament and Local Council (for most of the country) elections are going on today; because of a loss of faith in the government and the MP Expenses scandals, it looks likely that minority parties could get large increases at the main three parties' expense. #7: The British National Party. One of the main concerns, if not the main concern, with the possibility of minority parties getting large increases is that the BNP could potentially win seats. The BNP are a racist and fascist organisation who have many ties with both terrorists and Nazis; their leader was a holocaust denier and has been to court for race crimes, their press and publicity officer has said some horrendous things and the candidate in Yorkshire said that rape was "like forcefeeding chocolate cake"; not to mention that their policies include repatriation of any non-white Briton to their 'homeland'. If they win seats, they will represent us in Europe. #8: Cabinet Reshuffle. The government is likely to have a reasonable number of changes made to the positions in the near future. Gordon Brown chooses who the Home Secretary, the Foreign Minister and the Chancellor of the Exchequer are and he is likely to swap them around. Recent news includes: Mr Brown's much anticipated reshuffle was pre-empted earlier this week with the news that Jacqui Smith had asked to step down as home secretary. Then Hazel Blears announced on Wednesday that she would be stepping down as communities secretary. In a letter to several newspapers, the work and pensions secretary said Mr Brown's continued leadership made a Tory victory "more, not less likely". He is the third cabinet member in three days to say they are standing down. Alistair Darling's position as chancellor is also thought to be vulnerable after questions about his expenses. Two junior ministers Beverley Hughes and Tom Watson have also said they are to step down. The following MPs have said in the past three weeks that they will not contest the next election - Conservative: Andrew MacKay, Julie Kirkbride, Douglas Hogg, Sir Peter Viggers, Anthony Steen, Sir Nicholas and Ann Winterton, Christopher Fraser Labour: Margaret Moran, Ben Chapman, David Chaytor, Ian McCartney, John Smith, Patricia Hewitt, Beverley Hughes, Michael Martin (Speaker) Mr Purnell insisted he did not want to be Labour leader and Alan Johnson, the Health Secretary, is the firm favourite to succeed Mr Brown if the Prime Minister is toppled. Health Secretary Alan Johnson was forced to deny he was ready to take over as party leader. Asked about Gordon Brown's position Mr Johnson told the BBC: "He is doing the job and there is absolutely no one who could do that job better." A friend of Chancellor of the Exchequer Alistair Darling has told the BBC that he would not accept any other job. Several other Cabinet members are understood to be ready to consider their positions if the Prime Minister presses ahead with a plan to replace Mr Darling with Children's Secretary Ed Balls. There are signs, too, that David Miliband may refuse to move from the Foreign Office. Asked if Mr Brown would be the leader of the Labour Party at the next general election, Ms Harman said: "Yes, he certainly will. There won't be a leadership challenge, nor should there be, because he is the person with the vision to take us through." There's a lot of interesting stuff going on in British politics and the next month will decide the result of the next 10 years of voting in the UK. We'll have to wait and see how good/bad it is but it looks like the Lib Dems really could replace Labour in the top two parties!

Mak hasn't said anything about 'naked homosexuals rolling around and doing sodomy in our own flag', firstly. Secondly, the bible (and I assume your morality in this case is based on it) doesn't dictate anything about homosexuality (before you start) and whilst it is against homosexual practise, it also tells us not to judge others. Regardless, it isn't "clearly WRONG" as there is no logical reason to claim homosexuality is 'immoral' without religious belief - or you might as well say that flying is unnatural and therefore immoral too, etc. This is irrelevant though; toplessness has a connotation of being linked to sexual gratification and whilst a more open society (on the subject of sex) would be a good thing, as are many nudist colonies, having topless coffee shops does seem a bit odd. Likewise, arson is most definitely wrong and to justify it by saying that 'toplessness is wrong' would be to bring yourself down to below the level of the people you are insulting as immoral --- it's hypocricy of the highest order. Anywho!

I'm with Jameris, I have little faith in the people, government, military, and certain other organizations of this country. Greed, and arrogance runs this country which is why I have little respect for it, people care more about making money than they do the planet, they care more about status that they care about animals, they care more about taking care of themselves than they do about helping others. We still have widespread racism and other bigotry, and we spend trillions ofdfollars on wars but fail to take care of the poor in our own country. We think that our form of government should reign supreme and anyone who doesn't agree is an enemy. America is one giant corporation and it's pretty ##%+#+! sad.
