I honestly don't know who some of you think you are trying to impress. Most of the "TRF" gang had this problem. "Lets try to make ourselves
feel more important by treating this stupid game as if it were art" was basically the attitude of that bunch.

From your point of view (this means everybody from vets to new members can have and answer), what have been the defining moments in the history of your
faction?

I don't generally use lyrics. Usually its a quote or some other phrase that carries meaning regarding the content of the thread.

The creation of Haven, the destruction of the CFR, Saede emerging as Pirate Queen and gaining the CR from Pheobe.

The most defining moment in The Ewok Council's IC history came from when we were a faction at SwFans. The Empire, then lead by the character Grand Admiral Thrawn, attacked Endor and with only a few Ewoks and a handful of Jedi on the moon to repel the attack, the planet was on the verge of takeover. However, a mammoth task force from the New Republic, led by General Tomahawk, entered the fray and pushed back the Empire. Had it not been for those reinforcements, the Ewok Council would have been forced off Endor! IC, the most important moment was following TGC when they split from SwFans. It's just a shame the faction had to die. It was enjoying great activity at its height, even having a few 1000 post plus days. |

^ I do recall one or two occasions when we tried to ressurect the faction, however were never able to return it to glory.

Some slots to fill for those of us that aren't fighters. I'm having trouble making characters that I like because I don't want to be a big warrior.
That might just be me but I guess the idea is lots of opportunities for diversity.

ABSOLUTLY Neutral, not this crap we got going on with the rebellion and TGE, and don't get me started on TGU. One that is not only able to keep new guys,
but actually knows what to do with the many aimless people.

I would be a part of it, obviously. You can't have a Star Wars faction without some members wielding lightsabers! I also don't necesarily think that a huge amount of numbers would feature in a "perfect" faction. I would rather be involved in a group of 8-12 members who all get on with each other really well and enjoy RPing together. As they all got on, there would be no ego or ambitions to become the factions leader, just being in a group and writing with your mates would be enough. If you wind up in charge, so be it, but you don't harbour ambitions to run the group, you just want to be a part of it because it's so much fun! |

Activity, cohesion and flexibility. Having IC goals and driving towards them as a group in regular threads, but accepting setbacks to those goals with good
faith and always looking for new opportunities. Really though, anything that makes a group feel like a group rather than a bunch of people with the same label.

Cooperation. The ability to hear what everyone wants and trying to make it feesible without egos trying to break apart the faction. I think it's important
for a faction to have something to offer to everyone that crosses its path; I think making everyone feel like they belong there, OOCly, is a huge importance.
Also, having people not be prudes and showing everyone that OOCly we can all get along and have a great time without brining IC stress to the OOC realms. Much
like Danster feels, it's not the overall number of those involved, it's whose involved and the outlook of the group.

I'd rather have BOTH quantity and quality! You really need to have the numbers in order to make a faction a success. Its what opens the doors of
possibility. The fewer people you have the more time you spend waiting for everybody to get on the same page. If you have a lot of members there will always be
a handful of them at the ready, which really gives you a lot of roleplaying options.
