Posts: 243 (06/29/09 11:11) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	It was not really how he imagine how things would end up or go but then again....He knew from the start that he was hang by a wing and a prayer when he started this venture. Where in as far he knew....or could learn was that it was someone close or maybe connected with the Jedi inner council that was suspected to have done in Anija mom. To agree the plan and cause quite a stir within the circles of those involved that lead to all this cloak and dagger bit. One which with great care and secrecy that this had gone unnoticed or left the way it was despite all the flaws or inconsistency. He sort of met during his investigation. That with a fools resolve had lead him to think that getting himself captured could lead him faster to the truth. Of who or what was involved and behind the veil of secrecy. Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Slowly, Anija eased the Bralor away from Corellia. It would be quite some time until it was safe for her to return. Privately, she wondered what would become of Jarrod. She worried for him As she continued to head away from the planet, the coded portion tacked onto the end of Jarrod's message decoded. It was a set of coordinates - for Mada'yaim. Her mouth quirked. The one place that Jarrod knew she would be safe, and that the Jedi wouldn't dare to set foot. She thought momentarily of Xan,, off training with the Jetiise. Yes, the information in the cube was painful. It had changed her view of the Jetiise a lot. But Xan, she couldn't fault him for wanting to fulfill his mother's dying wish. She only hoped that the Jetiise didn't craft him into some tool for a similiar purpose. Sighing, she pulled up the hyperspace route to Mandalore. It was familiar to her, as she had flown it many times. Several hours later, Anija settled the Bralor onto the landing pad behind the house on Mandalore. Xan was still gone, but it was home. Tiredly, she secured the ship and trudged inside. Collapsing onto their bed, she stripped off her beskar'gam mechanically. Now not only was she worried for Jarrod, but for Xan as well. She missed him, and longed for his company. With a heavy sigh, she lay down in her coverall, setting the box on the nightstand before she slipped into an exhausted sleep.

Posts: 246 (06/30/09 11:49) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	At first the trip had seem uneventful and although it appear their trip was taking longer than expected. Bord out of his wits in having to be lock up alone inside such small enclosed quarters. That in end his mind began to wander, assume it all to end with him perhaps standing in either the temple med ward or council chamber for another round of diciplinary actions. Which right about now would have been preferable that having to stand here having to deal with all the uncertainty in his head. But then again no one said it was gonna be easy....and instead he comforted himself with the though that she was safe. One who for now would remain nameless and shrouded in secret.....he watched time pass as paced back and forth in what little space could be had. Till later on the ship shudder and the door slowly began to open. With a diffrent set of individuals standing there stun baton in hand, in complete silence he was then forced to follow them. Which thought he resisted at first was all the more harder given the items they held....giving up soon enough. Jarrod was then led to another slightly bigger ship. Where once inside he was then hurredly pushed to another chamber in which this time. With the silent hiss of the door behind him filled him with a tinge of uncertainty. Sometime later.... Secured in one of the chambers of the ship and drugged Jarrod barely notice the passing of time. Feeling so weak and disoriented,the stranger seem to make good to start their work on him. Baraging him time and time again with unending question as to who , what and where. Not giving him a moment long to rest his eyes began to grow heavy as did the strenght of his arms or legs. That by the end of the trip with their arrival to their desitnation....he had all but been exhausted and uncooperative. His temper and patients stretched to the breaking Jarrod had not one bit falter on his resolve. Keeping mum about the whole incident, his captors then soon tighten their grip. And after being transffer a few more times he had eventually ended up in a small white washed room alone. In a location he himself didn't know......continusly hounded and mentaly presured to speak out. He didn't much to his captors dismay....this continued on till season ened.

The images from the holocube had haunted her dreams. Slowly, Anija sat up, cradling her head. Was Jarrod alright...? She worried for him. He had after all put both his career and his life on the line to bring her the information. But would it be worth the price he paid for it? Did it hold some important clue to her past that could help? With a sigh, she reached over and picked up the box, flipping it open. The holocube looked so unassuming; but what lay within could change everything she thought she knew about her family. It already had once. What other things lay hidden in it's memory?

Him wake up and being randomly harassed then made or force to talk. Spill his beans so to speak and fess up what he did with the cube....who he was working with and all that jazz. Which thanks to his pop training had all but prepared him face this challenge. Keeping mum about it all and sticking to his guns...story that he didn't know....that they got it wrong....in that he was the one investigating.....following up on a lead leaked to him. This went on and on till one day.....just his luck his captors had he was able to slip out. Escape into a small transport with its limited capability end up in one those smuggler cove. Able to salvage enough parts to send one message out thru the smugglers channel.....to the one person that came mind. Anija.... ".....have to be brief....Anija, its me Jarrod am fine....need to meet u at the prancing jawa bar on Cloud city...." Then silence as he then went scrap what bit of bartering item he could of the ship . Haggling with some passing mercs he eventually got safe passage to his desitantion.

And what had happened to him in the intervening time? She didn't know, and wasn't sure she wanted to. Even Jedi had ways of extracting information from people. And while they played themselves off as peaceful guardians, she knew better. Her heart twisted as she thought of him. And so it was with surprise and a bit of trepidation that she opened the message. Finally some word. His voice was quiet, rushed as if her was sending the message in a hurry. ".....have to be brief....Anija, its me Jarrod am fine....need to meet you at the Prancing Jawa bar on Cloud city...." Within minutes of listening to the message, Anija was lifting the Bralor from the landing and angling her toward the hyperspace vector that would take her to Bespin. Several hours later... She had only been there once, but she knew the bar that he referred to. The Prancing Jawa; a dive by most standards, but it was well know among those in the Underworld as a hangout, and a good place to meet contacts. Cautiously, Anija locked down the Bralor and proceede to the bar. It was dim and smoky inside, but that was to her advantage in this case. it made things simpler when it came to disappearing. After several moments of scanning the bar surreptitiously, Anija ordered a large black ale and slipped into a booth in the back corner to wait. Staying much by himself and opting to keep the guise of a displace tracker that had been down on his luck. Not giving off a hint that he was a Jedi to anyone....which was somewhat difficult given that thought his captivity was brief by most standard. It had none the less left its after effects with him, in terms of being a bit disoriented as to what time and where he was. Having kept int the small confines by his captors...cloak slightly tattered yet still keeping his wits about him. Sometime later.... Having found some suitable new cloths to wear, Jarrod had change into a pair of dark blue pants and tunic top...a long dark brown coat. Beard somewhat overgrown....he somewhat didn't look much like he did before. Slowly walking within the shadows of the backroom. Having order a glass of ale he then waited for her to come. Which it seem wasn't that long to be as he soon spotted her in the distance....and soon slowly approaching her. He soon stood right behind her and spoke. "Glad to see you're well....and if you could ....we need move out back and talk..."

With the smallest of nods she led the way to the back, seeing him move like her shadow via her HUD. She was silent for a long moment after they slipped into the dark booth. She didn't know what to say, He looked well enough at first glance, but even she could see the hollowness in his cheeks and the slight palor to his skin. "What's going on? Are you alright?" She laid a steadying hand on his arm as she saw him sway slightly. Whatever those chaa'kar had done to him, it had messed him up good.

Posts: 249 (07/01/09 11:08) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	As hard he could Jarrod tried to feign any outward sign of his captivity to her, not wanting make her worry nor feel bad about what happened.And not her mind linger on it and instead focused on try make sure she was truly ok. Just seem act like the brother to him Jarrod had all that time worried about her...thought unable to give in to those worry all the time he was captive. In fear and uncertainty about the affiliation of his captors....not fully able to be sure that they were Jedi, Sith or criminal. Given the condition he was kept in.....that till now left his eyes and cheeks somewhat hollow given the lack of sleep....pale pallor of his skin having been kept lock up all this time....thought fed and kept healthy all this time. It none the less left its mark on him as she then turn speak to him just as they made it safe out back. Out of sight and hearing distance from the other patrons in one of the more private booths. "What's going on? Are you alright?" Laying a steady hand on his arm as his eyes began to dart all round and slightly sway. Grip with an air of distrust and after effect of the unknow sting of drugs he'd been given to somewhat loosen his grip on reality....the force. Make him suseptable and easy to break in getting or extracting information....he kept none less kept his goal no matter what. And seem to daze out before slowly return he spoke. "n...nothing....just ....well not quite the place i'll hope meet....and clear things up...but can't risk it....they're watching....migth be listening....but no matter ....all that matter is that your safe....we can move on and finally move forward .....unmask whomever it is behind all this...lies and deciet."

"I discovered something...whoever did this; they obviously thought that what you gave me contained something that would reveal your identity. Why else would they have gone to all the trouble they did to get it?" She knew better than to bring the object in question onto a Jetiise world again, but what she had found was surprising. Quietly, she spoke. "My mother was part of what, for all intents and purposes was Jedi black ops. When she deviated from her mission, her superiors took action. They knew from her research that Mandalorians have a deep sense of honor." And here her voice caught. "They had to know that Var'ik would see her actions as a stain on his family's honor...." She swallowed, trying to blink away the tears. She was glad for once that her helmet hid her face. But still Jarrod could sense it...

That there was nothing to worry, and instead take the moment listen in on her words instead. "I discovered something...whoever did this; they obviously thought that what you gave me contained something that would reveal your identity. Why else would they have gone to all the trouble they did to get it?" For as difficult as, isolation of his captivity was it had not been the worst of it. For hidden beneath his skin and veins lie the treachery of his unknown assailants , a concoction of drugs and dark substance which neither one knew . Partly causing the slight paranoia and shaking of his right hand accompanied by the semi lucid dark images in his head. Dark and disturbing that it began to bother him.... yet for her Jarrod tried be strong. Hidden under weak smile he forge on and push all of this into the depth of his mind for now speaking. "...i see ....as given the difficulty i had acquire it, learning where it was. I sort of got that impression some didn't want it be found.... He paused and soon quietly began to mumble. "...day in and out all the question... sources were.... cube was....and who sent me....." As it would seem some the memories of his captivity began to surface expectantly. But was soon quelled and slowly turning back to the present. "...but all that passed now....and out curiosity if i may ask...have you any luck in learning about your mothers ?If by chance any clue regarding what her mission was ?" "Don't be alarmed but ...i don't know if this would work but ....i need to try and show you something ....if you would trust me..." His voice was low, pitched so that only she would hear. His fingers lightly brushed the left side of her helmet. As they did, images flooded her mind. Symbols...insignia from before her time. Some of them she recognized; others meant nothing. She stiffened as the deluge continued. Did Jarrod sense her Force ability, untapped as it was? Her breath was shallow as she stared into his eyes through the visor in her helmet. Too much had happened to Anija for her to be shocked by something like this. And yet, she wondered what these symbols had to do with her parents. What could they mean? With a sigh, she leaned back from his touch. "Jarrod...what else can we do? I've only been able to study a portion of the information..."

Given the great trust and willingness of Anija to go along, despite not knowing. He then in silence began to concentrate and send thru the force a mired of images that for now was only know to him. Letting this exchange of knowledge be done in the brief moment. Hidden under the veil of appear as if nothing more than an intimate moment between to strangers if only to hide its truth from prying eyes. And if but for a moment made the prying eyes move back to give them no mind. Then after noticing the shallow breathing and seem change in her aura...despite her face being hidden under her helmet. Seeing her lean back he then tried to compose himself as another shift in the force within came then went. "Jarrod...what else can we do? I've only been able to study a portion of the information..." By then he pause and just about to reply when he notice her come then pass. "...my apologies its just that well... the after effect of my time away is something i have to deal with.....time for me still seem .....well off....but anyways...." He then leans forward a bit and seem to speak in a whisper. "...they might not like it but...some the images i sent you are from the archives.....both Jedi an CorSec...house seals and underground emblem....along with some cryptic codex images I've tried to develop during my time away....should help with our communication....for if my suspicions are true.....normal com would prove tough as would communication by thought.....for they would no doubt pick up on that...and" He then pause with a deep sight spoke. "...as much could see...though faint and untested....the possibility of your mothers legacy might be there...but for now is faint enought that it won't be detectable...."

Carefully, she reached up to remove her helmet. Her hair was mussed and unkempt from being under the helmet. Carefully, she set her helmet on the table. "Some of those I did recognize... but not many of them..." With a careful breath, Anija laid her gloved fingers over his. "What I don't know is how deep she was. But obviously, it was deep enough that her...handlers had to use blackmail..." She was silent for a moment as she templed her fingers in thought. "Jarrod....I was able to find out a little bit about your mother. She was part of the Great Canyon Clan..." Her right hand slipped into a pouch at her belt. After a moment, she slid a compact datapad across the grimy table. "This is all the info I was able to find on the clan. Unfortunately, info on your mother was rather sparse...." Came her reply, voice seem barely a whispher uttered with great care as she slowly loosen her helmet and lay it aside. Come face to face with him, hair sligthly loose and seem slightly disheveled. Having appear been kept under wraps beneath the helmet now set on the table. He then leans over a bit and spoke....sense still kept in alert. "Well i didn't at first....but i had my suspicion....knowing what i had read thus far during my research of the archives....and beside..." He then with a sly smile on his face seem if only to make lite of things and belay some her worries. "....I've been a Knight for a while and sort of come with the territory....specially when it come to handling initiates in the temple...but on another note does any of the images familiar to you?" To which with a moment pause came her reply. "Some of those I did recognize... but not many of them..." That soon with a careful breath and her gloved finger over his. "What I don't know is how deep she was. But obviously, it was deep enough that her...handlers had to use blackmail..." To which in a moment Jarrod seem to slowly take in much he could in regards t her reaction and words. " Well thought there is a bit more research i have to do get to the bottom of this misdeed...rest assure i will not stop till i do.....but as far i can see....she probably was in the plot deep enough..to garner such secrecy." He then gently held her hand in seem silent reassurance to ease her worries. When seem out of the blue she became quiet for a moment her hand slightly brushing her temple as spoke. "Jarrod....I was able to find out a little bit about your mother. She was part of the Great Canyon Clan..." To which somehow struck a cord within Jarrod that he suddenly turn face her. Falling silent just as she then reached over to the pouch on her belt to hand him something. To which with great anxiety and some joy he then accepted the item gladly as he then spoke. "....you have my deepest gratitude to say the least.....for you don't know how long I've tried to even get a shred of lead from them....but given the type of society they have....and the turmoils i hear the clans engage in....any lead or Intel is sparse or hard enough to acquire as it is...."

She broke off after a moment as she spotted a shadow out of the corner of her eye. A moment later, she slipped her helmet back on. "I don't think we're alone..." Her left hand slipped down to brush the butt of her ripper. "We need to leave... now..."

"Jarrod... Is there anything else I can do?" To which given hope in his search for his own past lead him to somehow get distracted. If only briefly as she then broke off from speaking which in someways alerted him that something was a miss. "I don't think we're alone..." She then came to say as she slowly slipped her helmet back and Jarrod hand unknowingly reach for his blaster under his coat. " I hear yah..." He then said in a whisper as eyes turn to take note of her hand movement. "We need to leave... now..." To which picking up that someone was indeed close he then reach over to dis way her hand from weapon with a slight shake the head spoke. " I know....but don't worry i'll be standing right beside you every step the way...."

Slowly, the black hull of a modified and enlarged Y-Wing descended vertically, the repulsorlifts slowly shutting down to allow the decent. The officer said nothing to his men; he knew who this was from a previously received message. He didn't feel fear of the coming man, per se....it was more caution. Enough stories had reached him of this Talon Sky. Even among the Jedi, this....this boy was a legend. He was inducted into their order at thirteen, and was already a Commander at the age of twenty one. After the ship had been set for a moment or two, the hatch descended and a cloaked figure quickly strode down it. He removed his hood as Officer Romerez came to greet him, revealing sparkling blue eyes and bright golden hair tied tight into a pony tail. The young man wore a red cloak, like Romerez had never seen: it was bright red and bore a symbol on the back, a black cross with a crown over it. "Sir," Talon Sky said, respectfully saluting the Deck Officer. "I'm here on the business I told you about. Have they been located?" The officer nodded and handed Talon a folder with several papers in it. "To sum them up," Officer Romerez offered, "your rogue and his companion are in the main part of the central city platform. Probably-" "That will be all, officer," Talon cut him off, flipping through the pages. "With all due respect, the less you know....or seem to know....the better for you." Talon offered a salute to the officer, who saluted back. He was genuinely surprised by Talon's actions....technically, the Jedi had a higher rank then he. Yet for some reason, power hadn't gone to his head.... Cloud City - Prancing Jawa Bar Talon Sky entered the crowded bar, the young man of twenty years covered once again by his hood. He'd followed the sources outline in the discarded folder and his own, very fine-tuned, Force senses to this place. He still didn't know the identity of his target....but how many Jedi-Mando couples could be in this bar? That was often how his missions went....S.W.O.R.D. was a Jedi branch that 'didn't exist', and his title in the Order was 'honorary'. So information given to him on missions that 'didn't happen' were obviously as vague as possible. Talon lowered his hood and scanned the area with his azure blue eyes, but his presence had already betrayed him. He felt two other Force-sensitives sense him, so the young Jedi....wait, two? He was supposed to be hunting a Jedi and a Mandalorian....

She frowned when Jarrod's hand gently guided hers away from her weapon. "Jarrod...what are we going to do? How could the Jedi have tracked us so fast...?" She eyed the figure that had just entered the bar. His red cloak and his stance set off silent warnings in her head. Whoever he was, he meant business. His mere presence caused her anger to rise again. They obviously thought that the holocube contained information that could blow their little organization wide open. Whatever they thought she had, they were willing to torture one of their own for it.
