Posts: 9 (12/03/09 11:06) Wicked Delight Vanity's Heir Mother's Nightmare Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	○Lord Valentai ± Alexia Preston ± Viktor Maurow○ All that could be seen was a sweep of soot lashes, concealing her ever changing eyes, but nonetheless revealing metallic brushed lids. The darkness here was as overwhelming from whence she came. It reminded her so of the mistress that held her captive. But not tonight. A most shy girl was begging her to keep quiet, ignore the malevolence behind her. A gut feeling maybe. Or the angel on her right shoulder. The impish fiend on her left, was whispering sweetly. Lord Fiora Devereux, they reminded her of him. Though it had been two solid years since she had seen him. Glacial gray eyes had fluttered open. Ananda did the only courteous thing a lady would do, "Evening, Monsieur," her gaze slid past her shoulder while her slender digits coiled about the dark cherry stem to cast over a cloaked frame. Before she could be asked for a savior, another spoke- a chime against the bass. The attention the woman was given was instantaneous. Her innocent mouth turned up, revealing the slightest hint of dimples. Another had entered the party, now making them four. Stunned, slightly embarrassed, she brought the wine glass to her lips- and by the gods, swirled the dark blush liquor in her mouth, like she had seen on commercials, then swallowed. Ana sat there a moment, shock still pinching her vocals. Not sure she should give her name, she chewed her lip. Fiora had read her mind though.... so it was possible they could. She wasn't choking yet, like she had around the Mistress or around Mr. Devereux- so she was assuming they were not as strong. But stronger than her. What am I doing here? Best to tell the truth. A slender hand was offered then, but she spoke low in a mixture of upper Coruscanti and Hapan decor of vocals, "Ananda Jy'Vun," her head dipped in jest and yet again the same glass, still practically full emptied further in to her mouth. She was practically begging the girl to offer her name, take her off the spotlight, however small it was, "nice to meet you...." her darkly lined eyes were on the other woman, asking silently.

Posts: 1653 (12/03/09 11:25) Eternal Apprentice Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Cerusia - Immortus' Guard With men varying in so many degrees, with men having so many different personalities there were times where every male seemed to be nearly the exact same. Yet there were other times when a man was truly revealed; when the deepest aspects of his soul came out and told the world in triumphant fashion... Here I Am. The exact impact that this held depended largely on its uniqueness. The dance with Cerusia was magnificent. Dancing was one of the simplest forms of affection, a form which was entirely unspoken and just allowed the bodies to do the talking. Words would have ruined this moment. The man with the mouth, as Gravis was affectionately known as amongst his Jedi counterparts, had for this moment fallen silent as his cheek rested against the top of her head. Yet while they danced, the protector within Gravis rumbled though something else stirred. An animal, a beast that had rarely been seen by anyone was wide awake and fully aware of his surroundings. Like an Alpha surveying his territory, Gravis was quick to spot the approaching uniform and defensive actions were taken. He spun, putting his body in between that of Cerusia and the guard. He planted his feet firmly, though Gravis gave him no acknowledgment, yet held Cerusia out of his sight. Standing at six feet three inches, Cerusia was about six feet even with heels. Her face remained hidden by his shoulders. Lady Reticea was a big girl and Gravis knew she could handle herself but she was with him now. She was in his presence, no one elses. The the beast within Gravis began to stir once more, almost anticipating the moment the man, the guard would speak. His uniform gave off the status symbol of who he belonged too, though the Apprentice thought it absolutely foolish. "His supreme Lordship Vanco Meridius, Procurator of Coruscant, requests your presence at his table upon your earliest convenience." Gravis eyes seemed to take a gleem of rage too them as the man spoke and it was here that Gravis, for the moment, broke his dance with Cerusia. Turning, he kept his hands embraced with the Lady's, while his eyes sized up the guard. It was typical. The washed up has been of a Sith Lord was playing dress up with men... some might have called that a tad fruity but Gravis did not judge. Immortus went his own way. If he liked telling men how to dress, what to wear and how to act... that was on him. The Apprentice glanced at the table, Immortus sitting and sipping on wine. How more cliche' could a Sith Lord get? Drinking wine, having a clique of security, lurking in the corner. Really? Could Immortus do anything original for once? The beast, the wolf within Gravis rumbled, irritated by this entire stunt. "Let's skip the fact that you had no decency to wait for our dance to finish, nah, we'll move right past that. Instead... here's what I want you to do." Gravis said, wiping dandruff off the guards shoulder, "Go back to your little corner, tell your wine sipping, corner lurking, washed up has been boss that Lady Reticea is currently busy. She is here, for the evening with me and if he has any problem..." no smirk escaped Gravis' lips as his expression shown of clear seriousness, "...he can grow a pair and come talk to me. Tonight, the Lady deserves a respectable evening. Now, rent-a-cop, leave." So how many lines did Gravis just cross. He did not know, but the beast, the Alpha within Gravis was in an uproar. What kind of husband sent a guard to fetch his wife? What kind of man held that little respect for his wife that not only would he cheat on her but he would not even get off his lazy hide to come to her? No, that was complete disrespect and Immortus would learn the hard way... Darth Gravis... Jake Daniels was the protector of Lady Reticia. Not just physically, he also protected her honor. Her honor was his honor. Gravis was out for blood now. Still, the Alpha wolf turned to her, the radiant woman before him and once more continued on in their dance. Her hand upon his shoulder, his hand upon the small of her back 'Apologies for any embarrassment I may have brought you.' The words went unspoken, only heard within the mind of the Lady herself. Lady Reticea would have the evening she desired, that she sought. Enjoyable and Safe. The Alpha was in his prime. Gravis was an Apprentice, yes. Gravis was not a push over and would never tolerate such blatant disrespect towards Cerusia. Ever. By anyone. Regardless of who they thought they were.

An Apprentice he had knighted not long before, and who now had her own students. The way of the Sith would live on through her, and it was good to see her again. Valentai bowed his head politely to her. "My dear Alexia, I see you are well," he said politely. They were Sith after all, there was no point being incautious. And then the new girl, the young one, had said her name. Interesting...how many JyVuns were there? Not many he wagered, and this one was assuredly related to the infamous Sith Mistress Anesia. He had never met or even seen her in person, but she was well enough known. "Ananda, I am Tariq Kiaer, Lord Valentai of Orissa. A pleasure to meet you, my dear. Might I ask if you are related to Lady Anesia?" he enquired, taking a sip of his wine.

Posts: 113 (12/04/09 12:11) Lady Reticea Head Archivist Immo's Better Half Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Feeling reassured by Jake's words, Cerusia forced herself to stop worrying about anything else and instead focus on enjoying the dance. Which she did. It had been a rather long time since she'd danced at all, as the Archivist had taken a break from her lessons on Coruscant, and it had been even longer that she'd danced in the company of others. It was strange being in the arms of another man, and stranger yet that she felt a certain amount of comfort there. Never one to want to cause a stir of drama, she had always made things awkward when paired with men at the dance studio. But here and now, it was different. Perhaps, she thought to herself, because she knew the man she danced with. Having experienced his presence in her life for many years now (even if it had not been face to face) she still felt as though they had become friends in a way. She trusted him. Halfway through their waltz and her comfort levels dropped. Though she was not trained past the level of an Apprentice, the woman could still sense things. Ontop of female intuition, Cerusia had always been able to detect the forboding sensation when something bad was about to happen. She'd never been wrong yet...and here she saw just over Gravis' should one of Immortus' men heading their way. She tensed, sensing also how Gravis demeanor changed. His grasp grew firmer as he forced their dance into a short spin and turned to confront the guard with sour, dismissive words. Frowning to herself, Cera shook her head in disbelief. Could this night get any worse? She knew it could...and eventually would if she continued to ignore Immortus. Still, when Jake returned his attention to her and appologized she had to admit, this night was not about Immortus, it was about her. She would see to the man on her own terms and not because he ordered her over. A pale smile crossing her face, she took a deep breath, fell back in stride, and was shortly leading Jake back into their dance, No harm done... Yet, she thought to herself as they stepped across the dance floor. The music played on and the number came to an end as another struck up. Cerusia shared not one, not two, not three, but four more dances with Jake. She never even bothered to Immortus' way. A naturally curious person, she spent the time getting to know her Geist better. Asking him simple and non-intrusive questions about his Apprenticeship and training, enjoying the short stories he regaled about his journeys through the Galaxy. When their fourth dance came to an end the band announced a short break. Feeling much happier and strangely empowered, Cerusia found it was a good time to finally break the ice. She excused herself from Jake after assuring him she'd find him again before dinner and carefully picked her way through the crowd, back towards the table where Immortus had remained all the while. Finding him in his seat still she stopped several feet away and waited in silence for him to speak. Outwardly she appeared calm, but he knew her better than that.

He bowed accordingly, showing the utmost respect. He was, afterall, a nobleman. And as such, he would always have to be on his best behavior. "Lord Valentai." he said, his head low for a second before raising it again. Even though his mother was not there, he was representing the name. "Prince Viktor Maurow-DuSang du Coruscant, my Lord." he said, finishing where Alexia had left off. He took another drag off of his cigarette as his glass of wine was put down on the counter. When Alexia appraised him, he couldn't help but to dust himself off. He always had to look his best. Always had to look presentable. Sipping his wine, the smoke rolled out of his nostrils as he gave Alexia the lightest of winks. Truly she was gorgeous in that dress. And for a moment, he found himself thinking that it would look better on the floor. But for now, formalities and conversation. There was always time for that later. Because that was the kind of man he was. A gentleman on the streets, but the very devil in the sheets. And when the third member came to the group, yellow eyes looked to her. There was something familliar about her presence, yet he couldn't quite put his finger on it. And then she said her name. But, of course. Turning to her, he took her hand into his, kissing her knuckles gently. "Je m'appelle Prince Viktor Maurow-DuSang du Coruscant. A pleasure." he said, releasing her hand. He hoped that she wouldn't mind him speaking le langue du nobles du Coruscant. It was his first language. The one his mother drilled into him instead of speaking Galactic Basic.

Producing the invitation upon arrival, Raine quaintly smiled and forced herself to ignore the happily clustered couples which were spewed everywhere. For a moment, she could almost vomit from the ambiance of the palace. Being a clairempath was often difficult - it caused much strife and often it was deemed nonsensical other than a gift. Shuffling into the foyer, crimson chiffon brushed against slender legs which carried the young woman. The dress had been a gift, a beautiful token, from her mother and for that it could only be cherished. Fingers twined around wavy ebon and blonde locks as if trying to be occupied by something, anything. Through the waves that surrounded, Raine could detect that atleast one of her children had been within the soiree somewhere; among other relatives, despite direct lineage, Raine tried to avoid any spectacles of acknowledgment. Any moment their family banded together it was mayhem.

She stiffened, then released her hold. The look on her face appeared to be that of mockery, "Anesia... who?" but it was confusion. The name seemed familiar, she could almost taste it on her tongue and it was bitter. Ananda's visage twisted, until she licked her lips. "I do not believe so, Lord Kiaer. Why do-" and her hand had been graced by electricity. She nearly jerked it back, but found it rude to do so. Especially to a gentleman. Even though it sent slivers of tingles dancing upon where he touched. "On the contrary, Prince Viktor," the 'k' and the 'r' was dominant on her tongue as she spoke, "its all mine, doux mystère." The smile was shy, then shelfed as was her dainty hand to her lap. She took a glance at her drink. Empty. One finger sought out the tender for a refill. She was now curious about this Lady Anesia. Uncomfortable, she decided to turn back in to the bar, her forearms on its edge. Only her head tilted to the side, "Who is she?" Both of the men she eyed now, expectantly, though shifted a little closer to the woman whose vibe wasn't as dark, or electric. Ananda visibly gulped, then cleared her throat, "Why do you ask, anyways?" Did she look like someone? Her hands fidgeted atop her thighs, she even looked down at them, in wonderment. The bartender had arrived again, bottle in hand. She moved to accommodate~ Credits were dropped, the stem tweezed betwixt two fingers, seemingly just for decoration at the time. She instead watched what was going on, feeling slightly out of place. As always. It seemed to be her lot in life now, to simply coast along with the others who seemed to be so in control of their lives as well as what was going on around them. The girl, Ananda, was so pretty. Valentai had power and wisdom. Viktor was titled. And she really wasn't anything special. Alexia came into this kind of world making her own name for herself, and was still too young to be bragging about much. So she bowed to her former Master, who would always be called Master from Alexia. She would always see him as her teacher and friend. Alexia heard him speaking already to Ananda, so she didn't wait for a response. She turned back to Viktor, catching the wink. She smiled a tiny smile, looking at him through the corner of her eye. Her gaze moved over him, from his hair to his shoes and back up to his face, Alexia taking her time and not bothering to hide her look. But then Viktor too got distracted with the other girl. Another lost moment. Then the conversation turned away from introductions to who the girl may be related to. As the bartender arrived to top people off, he slid Alexia a glass of her own, a tall glass with a swirling crimson liquid. She brought the glass to her nose and moved it in a circle, the liquid responding by moving, releasing the deep scent. She inhaled the rich aroma before bringing the glass to her lips, sipping just a little to taste. It rolled back on her tongue and down her throat, the wine warming Alexia's cheeks without a blush. It tasted strong, but she liked it okay. The second time ... ever ... she tried alcohol. She took a look around the room, just to be sure Malice wasn't present, then took another sip. Her free hand moved to the edges of the marble bar, fingertips touching the delicate rock crystal pattern. It was beautiful, polished on top with raw cut edges to show the rock's dynamic face. There were pure white crystals mixed with dark blues and blacks, it was lovely. Realizing her head was not in the conversation, Alexia looked back up to Viktor, just hiding her simple amusement as her blue eyes flitted upwards. This was going to be a long night, full of distraction.

But at least he was free, so much time in captivity. Starved, beaten, interrogated. The stupid pirates got nothing, they should have just killed him. Now Aiden McGrath was back to what he did best. He was just lucky his compatriots had saved him. Tonight was a different night. Tonight he was a normal man going to a party, trying to enjoy himself a little. His suit looked a little big on him because of the weight loss but he didn't look so bad. He strolled in through the front door and looked around scanning the people in the room looking to see if he recognized anyone. There was a sent in the air that made him a bit dizzy and no sooner had he taken his first steps did he need to sit down. He unbuttoned his jacket and took a seat not far away from the bar. Taking in a deep breath he looked up. Only thing he could think was that he was probably hungry or possibly dehydrated. He would have to be careful with what he did. His eyes caught a glimpse of a lady near by who was quite pleasing to the eye. Already he was beginning to feel a little better. He stood up and walked over to the bar passing by the lady and getting the scent of her perfume. "Can I get a glass of water please," he asked.

A lateral gaze had been cast upon the gentleman which brushed by, a little close for comfort she recalled. Azure orbs thinned as they focused upon him, tendrils of emotions being offered to her through an invisible feeding tube. It wasn't something of pleasantries and often emotions of others crashed into her like the waves upon the rocks. No matter, it had been something of an adaption to normality. Azura eyes squeezed in tightly as she pondered for that passing time and although she was not one to go out of her way for many, even if by means of simple conversation, the Ambivalent One was going to do such regardless. "May I have this seat?" Though there were plenty of unoccupied booths and bar stools, none of them held the flame of curiosity as this one so did.

She was even more attractive then he realized, the intricacy of her ink work it was truly a sight to see. She asked for the seat and his head reacted before his words could catch up. He nodded and turned to the seat in question looking back to continue nodding. "Yes, Yes of course. Please make yourself comfortable," he said with a smile. Within the next few seconds he heard the glass he ordered set next to him at the bar, he turned and picked it up and placed the glass to his lips taking the first gulp. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to be rude," he said placing the glass down. "I'm Aiden, and you are?" he asked.

The man's words were in the language of the nobles, but it had changed in four thousand years, and so the Sith did not fully comprehend. Instead, most strangely, Ananda did not know who Anesia was, and even asked who she was. Most strange indeed. "Anesia JyVun is an extremely powerful Sith Mistress. One that you share the last name with, which is why I thought you may have been related. It seems I was wrong." He spied Alexia looking unhappy and crossed to her. "My dear, do not feel left out. You have as much right to be here as them. Do not be timid; you must show that you have the stomach to be a Sith."

He watched her for a few moments and then looked down to the glass the bartender set down in front of him. "Christian..." He said befor plucking the olive from the glass and downing the drink. He cringed slightly and then tossed the olive into him mouth and swollowed. It was a good drink and he knew it would only enhance things for later. "No, I haven't told anyone." He said while looking back towards Bella who sat at his side. He let his silver eyes run up and down her body and wished he could see through that suit. She had an odd form of dress usually, but he'd seen her in things more slimming and knew that body was as smooth as a gentle song and perfectly curved to meet his desires. She was everything he wanted and he didn't care if they were related. Their blood ties were very distant and he could care less what his mother thought, let alone what his grandmother would do. That was, if she even knew who he was in the first place. "There aren't many who even know me yet within the family, although I'm sure some have been informed outside my knowledge." He said with a smirk while reaching around the girl and pulling her to his side.

Hazardous as it is, most don't live to old age. Those that do become our teachers and mentors, passing their abilities on to the next generations. As for pay, the Jedi Order provides for us. Pay, after all, would only be meant for food, clothes, lodging, or other necessities. The Order provides for our needs quite effectively." He decided not to go into the particulars of Jedi philosophy that made this lifestyle possible. It was something that most people couldn't appreciate properly - and probably found boring.

It wasn't that Bethany couldn't trust Archaen - she could. It was that the Jedi was supposed to be the most trustworthy beings in the galaxy. For some reason that Archaen couldn't imagine she couldn't find a sufficient group of trustworthy souls among the Jedi to help her. But then again, Bethany was always an odd duck among the Jedi - willing to help anyone and everyone regardless of their nature. Many healers among the Jedi would probably not take kindly to healing Sith. Archaen drew out a comlink with a private code, then offered it to Bethany. "When you're ready, call and I'll be there as soon as I can."

A finger motioned for the bartender to toddle her way, and without a second thought, she motioned for him to bring another drink for the man - Aiden - and the same for her. Raine was not a drinker of alcoholic beverages... and, with good reason. "No harm, no foul." It seemed somewhat taboo to say, but yet right. It even bemused her for a brief moment. "Raine." It seemed refreshing to give into the moment, to allow only one name to be used and recognized with. "This is about as fun as being at a funeral." Laughing at her own quirking reference, the Ambivalent One nodded in thanks as a drink was placed before her form.
