TWISTED SISTER brought its now-legendary stage show, "Twisted Sister: A Twisted Christmas", to the Nokia Theatre
in New York City this past Sunday (December 7).
The band's setlist was as follows: 01. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas 02. Don't Let Me Down 03. White Christmas 04. The Beast 05. I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus 06. You Can't Stop Rock & Roll 07. Deck The Halls 08. The Price 09. Oh Come All Ye Faithful 10. Stay Hungry 11. Burn In Hell 12. A.J. Pero Drum Solo 13. Silver Bells 14. I'll Be Home For Xmas 15. 30 16. I Wanna Rock 17. Heavy Metal Xmas 18. We're Not Gonna Take It Fan-filmed video footage of the performance can be viewed below (courtesy of "yb77"). With set and stage designs created with the help of Kevin O'Callaghan, Chair of 3D Design at New York's legendary School of Visual Arts, "Twisted Sister: A Twisted Christmas" is a mind-boggling, theatrical spectacle designed to kick off the holiday season with a memorable assault of lights, sound and staging, filled with holiday thrills to delight one and all. The promotional "I'll Be Home For Christmas" clip, which was released in November 2008, features Lita Ford in her first video in 20 years. The video intersperses live concert footage of TWISTED SISTER and the TS bandmembers on their tour bus (and, of course, a hilarious twist of an ending), and it's by far the biggest production of all the "A Twisted Christmas" videos. Formed in 1973, TWISTED SISTER dominated the radio airwaves and MTV with such monster hits as "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock", still staples at classic rock radio and television. To date, the band has sold over 10 million albums worldwide, boasts 34 silver, gold and platinum certifications from eight countries and has toured in 22 different countries. TWISTED SISTER has given over 9,000 performances in its thirty-plus-year career. Atleast you have a nice tree; I have some crappy thing that makes Charlie Brown's look awesome. :/

By the way, I hate White Tree's. I think they're tacky. But when you live in South Florida and it's 90 degrees out during Christmas, the white
reminds you of snow and ice.
So it fits for where I live.

In truth the real meaning of Christmas has been lost due to commercial demand and political dogma. Christmas isn't about the fancy wrapped gifts, or HOW
much you spent on someone. In truth it's all about remembering the birth of Christ... while yes it wasn't in December I am aware of that it is about
honoring that time. Also if your not Christian, it's a great time to take time away from our busy lives, and everything else and sit back and have a
breather and commit sometime real value and time with your family.
No one really needs to hate the holiday's if they understand the true meaning of it, or at least find there own true meaning within it. It's all about the spirit of taking time to be less selfish and help people. Take time to say Merry Christmas to someone. Help a old lady or man across the street, make a donation to the food bank, or the Salvation Army. It doesn't need to be money, the food bank takes food and the Salvation Army takes cloth and toy for kids of families who are in need. You can even give something to the Red Cross. There is many ways to spend Christmas that don't include giving big fancy gifts to one another, heck if your gifted bake a cake, pie, or even cookies. Share them with your freinds, offer freinds that you don't see as often to come over and spend time with them doing something that reflects the holidays. There is SO much that can be done, it's sad to see people hate this time a year all due to how politics and commercialism has tainted it. There is my little two cents and thoughts, don't flame me please.

As a Christian, I agree that Christmas is overcommercialized. As an economist, I think that it's great that people spend a ton of money, by rote, at
Christmas time.

I love Christmas, but only from a greedy "give me" perspective. The religious aspect doesn't find my family. Aside from that, historically Jesus
was born... not then. It's just an overlap for a pagan ritual. Why did they do that, anyway? >>;

So it was easier to convert the pagans.
I don't understand why people think it's some big revelation to say Jesus wasn't born on December 25th, or that it's some kind of discreditation of Christmas to point it out. Really, Goff, what's the point? I don't hear you complaining on the Queen's Birthday holiday--NOT her real birthday. |

Yeah, I mean my family is broke. We're getting 25 bucks appiece for presents, and thats stretching it. Presents are nice and I love getting them, but for
me the holidays is spending time with my family. We'll watch old Christmas shows that we've seen a hundred times, sing Christmas songs, and
occasionally light up a tree. My fondest memories of being a kid can often come from Christmas, with us just sitting in my living room with the lights out and
the tree lit. I used to sit there alone at night while everyone was sleeping and watch the tree (we had these bubbling lights you see,) and it made me feel
very peaceful. I wish I could get some of that back, but now that I live alone, I end up not buying a tree for my house, and just taking it over ot my parents,
lol

How many stations play Christmas Music where you live? | ||
|
I love Christmas music. When it's on the radio, it feels like Christmas to me. But everyone here seems to have a Scrooge up their butt and doesn't want
to play any. Even the country stations, where I used to turn for great Christmas music, isn't playing any. AM Stations too. For DFW, it seems the only
station is 103.7, which is a light jazz station. It's still playing Christmas music, but most of them have the feel of light jazz to them, lol. Although
every so often they suprise me, like last night with "O Holy Night" by Josh Groban. So, are there are many stations playing Christmas music where you
live?
