Tatooine nights are frigid. Under pale starlight dunes shimmer like snow. In the North a great sand palace rises
out of the desert floor. Faint music oozes from its pores and echoes down the canyons. Yule has come to the Outer Rim.
*Two staircases rose out of the great lobby and met atop a balcony. Beneath the balcony were two great bronze doors, now closed, which
led to the ballroom. On the balcony, leaning against the rail, stood General Ceel... honorary host of this year's Yule Ball. He looked down on the lobby
and took in the all too rare site of all the galaxy's inhabitants existing peacefully, shoulder to shoulder, armed with smiles instead of blasters and
lightsabers. The sight made him smile.*
"If I could have your attention please...." said the Gungan, repeating himself until silence fell over the crowd. "Thank you."
"Welcome to Tatooine. It is hard to believe that already a year has passed and we find ourselves together once again for one of the galaxy's most
cherished traditions. Time flows strangely in wartime....." The Gungan paused for a moment. "But tonight, let us forget about such things. Tonight is
a night for love and celebration. And let us hope that when we leave here later this night, that we might all carry some of that love with us back to the front
lines."
*There was great cheering. General Ceel waited for it to subside.*
"Alright Kids, go have your fun."
*The Ballroom doors opened.*
