NOTICE: WE ARE CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEUTRAL FACTIONS. Subject to approval. (Force factions may again be accepted in the near future as well) Please read the full rules below. They have changed as of August 23, 2009

P.S: Remember: Factions are NOT allowed to open chatrooms due to behavior problems in the past.

A. What is a Faction?
A faction is a satellite community of TGC, founded for role players united by a common in-character goal. A faction board is used by its members to train like-minded role players so that they can successfully participate in the Star Wars Role Playing Forum, where all factions meet to do battle. A faction is not an independant role playing community and may not have its own central role playing forum. Every faction is required to function in accordance to the TGC rules. In return the advertising power of The Gungan Council brings their communities dozens of members every year.

B. Who Can Create A Faction?
Those members who meet the following guidelines will be allowed to create a faction at TGC Role Playing.

i. 6 months or more of continuous membership at TGC. You must also hold a rank of Knight/Adept or higher.

ii. Must be at least 16 years old by date of application.

iii. No prior disciplinary problems at TGC. (this means you, Restricted members)

iv. You may not currently be the owner/ezop of another faction.

v. A willingness to make your faction a success.

C. Faction Proposal

i. DO NOT CREATE A NEW BOARD UNTIL YOUR PROPOSAL HAS BEEN ACCEPTED BY GENERAL CEEL

ii. The first step to creating a faction is making a proposal thread in the OOC Community forum. The proposal thread is your chance to try and convince General Ceel and the staff that your new faction will be an asset to the TGC roleplaying galaxy. This is separate from the "application" thread" you wil need to submit later on.

D. Requirements

i. A Clean, well designed YUKU: This means professional quality images and easy navigation, good organization (necessary forums only), etc.. Only boards that meet our standards will be allowed into the galaxy.

ii. Proof of at least 5 active role playing members

iii. An active and capable staff to keep the group operational when you are gone. Running a faction is hard work. The more people involved the easier that work becomes.

iv. A link back to The Gungan Council. Or a link directly to The Star Wars Role Playing forum.

v. Your board must have the "Galaxy" drop down links (found at the bottom of TGC) in its custom footer. These links should be kept up to date by group owners. To find the code for these Right Click on TGC and then hit "view source". Scroll down until you find the code then copy and paste it to your own board.

vi. Your board must also have a link to the TGC Rules Index

vii. Factions are prohibited from operating chatrooms. Use the TGC chat.

vii: For security purposes you MUST grant Admin powers at your faction to General Ceel (this is separate from your actual staff).

E. Application Thread
Once you have these things you need to post a join request message in the OOC Community Forum. The message should contain the following:

i. Proof of your 5 members.

ii. A link to your board

iii. The name of the planet, from CUSWE, your group wishes to be based on. (Be sure to check the Planet List in the OOC Forum to make sure your planet is not already occupied.)

iv: An indication of what type of group you are(Darkside, Lightside, Neutral) if not otherwise obvious.

F. Expectations
Each faction is a representative of the TGC Role Playing Galaxy. Consequently each faction is expected to be maintained in a way that reflects well upon TGC. Failure to maintain the following standards may result in the removal of a faction from the galaxy. (Proper warnings will be given)

i. Active and Growing

ii. Organized and clean (no broken images etc..)

iii. No behavior and/or material prohibited by the TGC rules and the Yuku/Ezboard TOS

iv. Board must be public and listed on Yuku search engine (See your control center)

v. Factions are expected to adhere to the decisions and orders of TGC executive staff (aka: TGC admins). You are free to argue your side, and the TGC executive staff will certainly take it into consideration, but in the end please set the right example for your members by obeying.

vi. Must maintain all Requirements from section "B" and "C".

G. Termination of Factions

i.
Failure to adhere to the rules detailed above may result in the termination of a faction.

- At such a point when a faction is terminated, all of its assets (planets) will be dissolved (meaning they can't magically become the property of another faction... unless a takeover is already in progress)

- Members of a terminated faction are invited to join other existing factions, and continue their characters in that way. But removed factions must close.

- New Factions will be reviewed after 3 months. Failure to bring your faction up to TGC standards within that time may result in termination.

- Attempting to underhandedly leave remove a faction from the TGC galaxy and set it up as it own universe, using TGC members will not be tolerated. All instigators will be banned from TGC and its factions. If you want to set up your own universe, thats great, but do it with honor. We gladly endorse our fellow Star Wars communities, just so long as they "ask", rather than "take."
