Corellian Security Force - Coronet City - One CorSec Plaza
System Defense Control Center - Night Shift
It was late in the evening, the current shift on duty consisted of a recent CorSec Academy graduate and a recently promoted CorSec Lieutenant. Going into the weekend, everyone was winding down and attempting to enjoy their time off from this long work week. The rural areas of the various cities and locations where gently being kissed by the sunset as night slowly crawled across the planet. With his feet up on the control consul, the newly minted Lieutenant rested for a moment as the private with him looked over all the systems he was charged with. They pulled a weekend duty like many new people, rather than complain, they both decided to make the most of it, joking back and forth and testing each others knowledge of protocols and alerts.
"So, you think anything is going to happen this weekend?" The young Private inquired as the Lieutenant leaned forward from his seat and picked up a report for CorSec Intelligence. "Naw, Smuggling Interdiction reports potential runs coming from the core, but they've deployed the long rang scanners we just have to give them a call when the scanners and sensors pick up something." Nodding the private's attention was pulled back to his system as a soft ping picked up what was recognized as a imperial signal, clearly visible and approaching at warp.
"Lieutenant." He inquired as several other signals began to appear, all bearing directly for Corellia." The Lieutenant, slowly standing from his seat, moved over towards the privates station and spoke while looking at the display.
"What do you have pri.." He paused in his sentence as red indicators began to flood the enter way into the system and towards Corellia space. Quickly moving from the station to his own, the Lieutenant raised the CorSec Defense Liaison screaming that incoming imperial forces where bearing down on the planet and that all available forces needed to be alerted. Not sure if it was an invasion, the size of the force approaching could have been anything. Walking briskly over to the private, the Lieutenant spoke. "You need to get to the government building and alert the duty officer of the day, I have to contact all military forces and put the city on alert, just in case they are trying to land ground forces....GO!" Nodding the terrified private quickly left his post as additional signals continued to come over his system, forcing the Lieutenant to pause for a moment in slight disbelief.
"The Empire is coming, someone help us."
