It was a really random turn of events that had landed Kat'ra back home. Of course this wasn't her childhood home, but it was where her father lived with his new wife, new kid, and his step son. Kat'ra had been out on her own so long that it was almost odd for her to be back in a family system. The first time she had walked into her room to find laundry folded she had been beyond surprised. She wondered if Raven had done that or if Kane had? She didn't really remember her dad ever doing laundry but she and Raven hadn't really bonded yet. Maybe this was an attempt? It was all new territory since this was really the first long period Kat'ra had spent at home. She had been at the Smart house for a week now and didn't really look like she was leaving soon. The girl was in-between jobs and honestly had the money saved for university and was trying to decide if she wanted to do that. In the meantime she figured may as well spend some time with dear old dad. The only thing was her father worked a lot. The security business had gotten boring to him so he had taken a few hunts. Raven was always at the brothel, working late was the name of the game over there. That meant the quality family time Kat'ra had came back to wasn't really happening. It didn't bother her though. She was finding ways to stay entertained.
She was currently in the garage, under her swoop bike making electrical repairs. Velusia was a beautiful planet so she had the garage door open, a sea breeze coming in. The music was blasting and her boots were sticking out, moving to the rhythm from under the bike. Of course a white tank top had been a bad idea, because she was probably going to get it dirty, and the button up flannel shirt she had on over it wasn't buttoned so that wasn't going to help. She didn't seem to mind though. She spent a lot of time in the garage, especially when the house was practically empty. Phoenix was home, or at least she thought he was, but he spent a lot of time in his room so it was difficult to tell.
