It was not all good news. With its increased fame and with the loss of its secretive, solitary existence, Otoh Gunga became a target. A host of infamous Sith launched often devastating attacks on the city, but with its resiliant native population, skillful Bongo sub squadrons and close links with the Jedi, no one had ever successfully conquered the city and it was always rebuilt and improved.
During its pomp, Danster often found himself longing for the quieter, secluded city of his childhood but now his wish had been granted he mourned the hustle and bustle that Otoh Gunga once hosted.
He was shaken from his nostalgic trip through his memories by a loud bang akin to an explosion in a different sector of the city. In times gone by, such a sound would have been the cause of alarm, the signal of an imminent threat but now it surely had a more low-key explanation, a burst pipe or a submarine crash.
No one would want to attack Otoh Gunga now, would they?
