Even warned as she was through the Force there was little she could do to avoid it; too much motion would've driven her into the Jedi's saber. After taking the hit squarely Sicaria pulled back again to regain her breath, but she could only allow a moment. She needed to press the attack if she was going to keep the advantage ...

It would need to be if he was going to defend himself against the woman that was now preparing to go back on the attack. That was when it hit him, and his stance started to change. A second hand moved to the handle, a deep breath was taken and then exhaled, this wasn't the time for him to slip back into the defense. This was the time for him to go on the offensive, for him to end the fight in the method that was preferred by him. Opportunity meets preparation. With that, he quickly took two steps forward and quickly started to mimic how his opponent had fought at the start of the fight. First came the upward diagonal strike, from her left side up, but that was only the first of many. Next came the doward from her right side, quickly followed by a step forward and an attempt to slash downward from her face. That wasn't even the last of it, he expected that she would be able to block all of that with relative ease. After all, she had proven herself to be a strong woman. No, no, it isn't over just yet. A quick move brought the lightsaber to her right side, and a strong strike would send the blade flying to try to bisect the woman. There was only one difference between the two of them, and that was that Mikel was a man. This, as well as meaning that his voice was deeper when he spoke, also meant that he generally had a decent amount of mass to use behind his attacks.

It was, therefore, only sensible that her defensive technique was based on deflection and evasion rather than direct opposition. In evading Mikel's attacks Sicaria's saber was more a fulcrum for the assassin to move her body about rather than the other way around - merely a shield to keep between herself and the Jedi's weapon. This was especially true during the Jedi's final stroke, which would've done her a great injury if Sicaria hadn't set her saber in the Jedi's path and then rolled herself over the Jedi's blade. Sicaria used the strength in the Jedi's swing to her own advantage, allowing the momentum to flow through her as her body circled about - thrusting a high kick towards the Jedi's face. She needed to stun the Jedi so that she could return to the offensive, and quickly. Her shoulder was starting to ache, and the battle was taking entirely too long. She couldn't assume that her victims would lie undiscovered indefinitely, and soon the search for her would begin. It would be best if she were far away before the word went out, otherwise her exit would involve more drastic measures which may or may not please the Sith elders.

Mikel didn't get the satisfaction of feeling any of his strikes get the resistance that he would have hoped for, the type that would have made his muscles mass actually useful. Instead, she seemed to be exceedingly nimble. Perhaps he should have prepared for that, though the Jedi really didn't know how he would have done that at all. This was true for the first, second, third, to put it bluntly it was true for ever single one of the failed strikes that ended with a foot being slammed into his face with sufficient force to cause both of his lips to bust open. Blood, that was never something good, the act of bleeding was something that he had done often enough in his career as a Jedi. And a Sith. And a Jedi again. Regardless, that wasn't as important as the fact that the force of it caused his head to fly back and the lightsaber to barely be held in his grip as one hand instinctively moved to his lips as if that was going to stop the blood. Why did she try to fight me here? Why hasn't she ran away yet? The answer was clear, of course, that Mikel was the second target of the day. Perhaps the Sith had known that he was there, and the added deaths of the Nobles would end up being a poor misfortune of taking in a Jedi. Either way, there was really only one thing that the Jedi could think to do that he hadn't already tried. A hand moved, the force wrapping around a tree and starting to yank it from the ground. Another move, and the tree went sailing through the air directly at the Sith.

Her strikes were effective - the injuries were small, but they would steadily drain the Jedi's strength until she could take him down properly. Drawing back her saber, she began to move forward for a sure and killing blow ... ... tree? The brush of the tree caught Sicaria squarely, driving her across the field. Although not seriously injured, Sicaria rose out of a tangle of branches scratched and bruised - not to mention angry. Reaching out her hand, Sicaria reclaimed the saber which was knocked out of her hand before it extinquished itself. Re-igniting her weapon, the Sith turned towards Mikel with a deep scowl as she drew herself back into stance. "You're going to pay for that, Jedi!" With that she charged steadily; she had a lot of space to cover to re-engage the Jedi before anything else happened.

It also brought him a moment of reprieve, which might have been the reason why he was joyous about it. Either way, there was something that told him that he wouldn't actually be able to successfully kill his adversary. He also knew that she wouldn't surrender herself, as prison was never a place where the Sith seemed to want to go. This wasn't a thought of defeat, per se, just a thought that perhaps he wasn't going about this the right way. I've tried to attack, I've tried to defend, I've tried to distract. What haven't I tried? "You're going to pay for that, Jedi!" Anger. Really? Mikel let out a sigh, this wasn't going to go well at all. She charged at him, and it gave him only a few moments to try to think of something. I can't continue like this. She was made for this sort of thing, and I wasn't. I have to scare her into thinking that there isn't any hope for her in this fight. Some show of the Force that will make her want to end the fight. He would have to think of it on the move, the Jedi had to meet her halfway to try to blunt any offensive. HA! I know what I'll do. With that, he started to run faster and faster. With any luck, his new speed as he ran straight for her would be something that would help his new strategy work. As they neared, the strategy was simple. First he would try to knock away her lightsaber with his own, and then use the motion to try to dislodge the sabers from both of their grips. A simple disarm wasn't likely to do anything, though. She would recover and he wouldn't have his lightsaber anymore. Instead, the fact that he would still be moving would turn the run into an attempt to tackle her to the ground.

The sightless Jedi was actually charging her! As they closed she brought her saber forward for a thrusting spear that would drive right through him, only to be caught by his sweep. The hit was hard and it succeeded in breaking her grip; as the Jedi intended, both their weapons went flying and a second later they were a tangle of limbs. Tackling her, however, wasn't the best tactic the Jedi could think of. While it was true that his size quickly overpowered her, Sicaria had trained in hand to hand as well as saber combat. As Mikel tackled her Sicaria pitched back into a ball and sent a leg up to support the Jedi, rolling him over her. Allowing his inertia to carry him, Sicaria sent him past her to roll on the ground without her. Recovering quickly, Sicaria spun a hand about to gather her weapon back to her. Re-igniting the blade, she charged the landed Jedi blade-forward. She had him defenseless, and now she would have him speared - the defeat of a Jedi Master would be hers! I have you now!

The tackle had succeeded, though not for Mikel, as he was sent rolling a few feet on the ground. Well, that could have gone better. Shaking his head, the Jedi slowly stood to his feet just in time to be forced to try to defend himself against an enemy who had the only real weapon. A spear movement was normally the easiest to dodge, it was simply a matter of getting out of the way. That was the easy thing to do in this case, and of course that meant that it wasn't exactly what the Jedi did. Instead, the Jedi lost the fight for himself. A hand rushed to grab her own, to try to use his strength. Mikel only moved to the side slightly, enough to make sure that he wasn't speared if he failed. Unfortunately, he was stabbed with the blade anyway. Not in the stomach, chest, anywhere vital. He was still stabbed, though, and that caused a pained expression to cover his face as he stumbled backward and then covered the wound with his hand. Where had been hit, one might wonder? His arm had been in the way of the blade, which meant that it was skewered by it. He fell back on bottom, still facing her, waiting for when the last strike would actually come to pass. Once again, he thought this was the end. Hopefully iy wouldn't end up being a time when he only lived to face another change such as the one that Jessan had forced on him.

A final thrust was sent to his torso to finish him off. Pulling back and extinguishing her weapon, the Sith assassin was about to check her work to be sure. However, she didn't have the time: she could sense others moving in the woods, searching for her. She needed to leave quickly, but not without a prize. Reaching back across the field, she gathered up the Jedi's lightsaber. She now had two such weapons that had once belonged to Jedi, a testimony to the fact that her skills were improving. Diving back into the woods to make her way through, she thought out her next moves. The roadways would be checked - her best course would be to travel cross-country until she was clear enough from the city proper to summon X2. A quick pickup, and then she would be back into space with no one to stand between her and a return to the Sith worlds. All this, and a defeated Jedi. Today has been a very good day.

One quick movement brought him almost half a foot to the left, Mikel could feel the heat of the lightsaber burn his robe and his hip. Why today? Why not after I had some time to prepare for this sort of thing? Or maybe this was the show that I really need to improve. This can't be allowed to happen again, if I'm even able to live after today. What he had expected was a second effort, but what he heard was his attacker merely walking away and his lightsaber wasn't there anymore. That loss is better than nothing. A lightsaber could be replaced, but his life was the only one that he had. Eyelids closed, in relief and the knowledge that them being kept open was useless, and he stopped moving for another five minutes. Hand, the one at the end of his good arm, reached in his robe for the transmitter that would call the astromech to the ship and then the ship to him. That was really the only good thing about the day, other than the fact that he was still alive. Of course, piloting his way would be impossible. Thank the Force for Astromech droids.

Without losing her concentration of the gentleman she was carrying, the Jedi Master turned and pulled the weapon from the conscious man's hands. "O.k, check first that the safety's off. It is, obviously because they were out to shoot first and ask questions later. Then whether or not it's set for stun or kill. I hate setting it to kill obviously because I'm a Jedi, but right now, we have no choice." Turning the blaster on its side the Corellian showed Run the safety and settings. Turning it back so he would be able to hold it properly, she handed it back to him and looked him dead in the eye. "Are you sure you are able to kill someone because you may have to. I can not do all the fighting for us. This requires both of us to have a successful mission." Her attention diverted suddenly. Another presence she felt. Why... it was a darker one at that, but this person's aura was a strong one. There was no denying it at all. They had to get out and fast. There were too many she had to protect against a Sith that would be able to use them in an attempt to force Adrianna to give up. The Jedi Master could not afford that consequence. "We must leave now." To the right she went and came upon a locked door. Using the Force, Adrianna waved her hand to open it. Using the Force to concentrate for the presence of others. With the way clear, the Corellian woman took them all out the door and nodded to her right for them to follow her. Unbeknownst to her companions, she knew not where she was going.

Like most civilizations the Serenno authorities were too focused on regular means of conveyance. The concept that someone could abandon all technology in favor of raw nature was alien to them. Once a suitably open space was located she summoned X2 to pick her up, then prepared her outfit for flight. The only thing she would require would be the overvest and helmet waiting in the starfighter. It only took a moment and a Force-propelled leap to board her ship; important since it was clearly a rogue starfighter. As she slipped on the necessary finishing touches and belted in, X2 maintained a horizontal path away from the capital before Sicaria took control of the piloting. As she moved into space there were five starfighters attempting to intercept, but they were already too late. The TIE interceptor was among the fastest starfighters ever conceived, and hers was a recrafted elite ship. Once clear of the planet, a hyperspace burst sent her off on her way back to her masters. *** Presenting the Jedi's saber and her report, Sicaria stood confidently before the Sith Lords who had sent her. "Satisfactory work, and the defeat of the Jedi demonstrates your ability. Know, however, that we sense the Jedi Master who crafted that saber - he is still alive. That you have his weapon makes a bold statement, but one which you still need to improve upon." Once dismissed, Sicaria nodded respectfully and left - the Jedi's weapon still in her hand. So much accomplished, yet so much improvement still needed. All the same, it had been a very good day: there was no reason why she shouldn't enjoy it.

This puzzled Katarine. She wasn't sure who would program a droid to sneak around. There were practical uses of such things but she assumed she was being watched to make sure she didn't snoop. When the droid hesitated outside the laboratory Kat figured that wasn't the case. It was as if it was allowing her to snoop. Did he not allow his droids inside? She hesitated outside the door. In an attempt to ignore the Sith carvings from her childhood she closed her eyes and exhaled. There was no point in investigating his on goings. Why she had even come here was beyond her. She turned, and retraced the steps she'd already made. "When you see him inform him I wish to leave." She called to the droid in passing, unsure if it took requests from anyone other than Aden. Must be pleasant to be a Moff, to expect death around ever other corner and for the only person that was going to jump on the bomb for her was some teenage demon child. This conversation was slightly a touch too deep for Karin, but she could try and not make a complete arse of it while at the same time be serious and thoughtful but at the same time charmingly Karin. You'd know I'd, track them down and beat the living shit out of them every day until they died from starvation," she said casually while scratching the end of her nose. Was that a whiff of vagina there? Had she masturbated this morning? Better yet, had she washed her hands. This morning was a long time ago, and her memory wasn't the most sparkling. Unfortunately, there was a pang of guilt that came from the writer. For after that touching speech, about Karin being that only other person, herself aside that wouldn't betray her and because fluid timeline and all that. Miss Dorn had already betrayed Lacroix, of course, the young pirate didn't know that yet. How could she, she was no magical mystic seer of the future after all. It was strange to watch the Moff get her motherly groove on, and a touch cringe worthy, but that just stemmed from the girl's hate of children after all. "Of course nothing will go wrong, you've got me, innit? Good choice with the crib though," well that was another thing down on the list. What next! "So, what do we need now, babes?"
