And lust for darkness to add on to Umbra. Then it will be great. ^^

I personally hope this idea doesn't get green-lighted. It's a great concept and I'm sure it'd be really fun for those involved to play out and
whatever, but it'll end up flooding the only decent neutral conflict on TGC with force-users. I could see it killing off potential interest in the neutral
factions, since one of the things they currently have going for them is that they're a change to the usual fights where the force plays a massive part.

I don't get what you're saying, Tal. This is not about adding force users to nuetral factions, that is another thread

Maybe wait for more than one pending group to flourish to balance the TGC universe.

Possibly I misread this, but it seemed like a large impact of this faction would be to add the Force Brigade to the Empire.
Most of the think tank seem to be influential players in the Empire, several of whom have existing force-using characters they want to be affiliated with the Empire, and the whole thing seems to have been designed significantly to accommodate them. If I wanted to fight force-users, I'd play a force-user |

If I were building a Jedi group we'd accomadate to the Rebellion
You want my opinion, you and Yalin get together with some Jedi and find out if ya'll can build stronger relationships with them in an IC sense. Just talk to them, cause trust me, the idea of the Affinity is going to be fighting Jedi a lot. |

Hooray for fighting!

I'm not objecting to the Empire getting a force-using department while the Rebellion doesn't have one. I'm objecting to the force-users being
involved so heavily in the Imperial-Rebel conflict at all. I just think it would be dull.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. We're all good people, and are not going to throw so many Force users into a TGE-TR conflict that it would be a
rape, nor would we join it if the Rebels insisted on us not doing it.

He has yet to speak. I think he's waiting for us to start tearing at each others throats before he jumps in and says no

Of course I assumed that, Disra. Not one of failed to mention such until after I asked a question that others were
pondering as well. I will bite you >_>

... she said I think I remember the film.
I semi-apologize for the rant. It was mean-spirited, void of solutions and counterproductive. I can't expect others to be proactive when I'm not being proactive myself.... yadda yadda... ect... Anyway, I'll just reiterate what I've always said: Forum-based roleplaying doesn't draw the numbers it used to so we're stronger and more likely to survive if we stay together. I know that if everyone got over themselves, let go of the past and made the most of the present situation one large faction could yield some devilish fun. I really wish I could wave my magic wand and make you all feel feared, adored, accepted and respected... (Gods know I've tried) ... but there comes a time when everyone has to suck it up and make some compromises. Just because you all live at the same faction doesn't mean you have to love each other ICly. You're all creative people. You wouldn't be here if you weren't. No excuses.... make it work. That said, you can split the faction if you really want to but I still think you would be doing it for the wrong reasons. The right thing to do would be to pool your collective efforts, reinvest in TSC and make it fraking awesome. |
