Then bring them here now. I don't see where new factions would get them here any quicker.

What I meant was, being the founder/exOp/Admin/staff of a faction usually brings out more of a recruiting spree in some people.

I don't get it. I'm not making newbies faction leaders. We had that problem in the past and it lead to entire factions that didn't respect TGC
rules. While existing members simply draw friends away from other factions most of th time. They don't really want to spend the time to advertise for new
blood.

Admiral Disra |

You're right there.
Maybe revising the faction creation rules? Remember that old '10 advertisements a day' thing you made us do? Do that for these new factions over a trial period. Require the leadership to massively recruit for a week or two? |

While I was at first against the merger to begin with, I find myself even more against allowing more Force Factions back in.
We don't have the member base. We don't have the activity. It will end up being Octavian all over again. Nope, this won't get my vote. |

I actually think having two Sith factions at least would work. Sith have always been rivals with each other and its common to have had more then one sith
faction vying for power in the galaxy. For the Sith at least I think it would bring the activity level up. When DSO and RIP were around both factions were
active and healthy with members.

Emryc |

That's not really true, Malice. DSO was pretty dead by the time of the merger...
|
|||
Lady Silencia |
|||

That's not exactly true at all, Malice. You were too busy being a "horseman" over in lala-land of RIP to notice that DSO was dying. And badly.
RIP took a very large chunk of our member base solely because of OOC friendship rather than true IC reasons. By the time the merger came around there was
barely anything left. What we did have left were those few that remained loyal to DSO and the very, very inactive alts of people who had their mains over on
RIP.

Malice Draclau |

meh DSO looked active to me.

It wasn't...

General Ceel |

On the DSO matter, the fact is that it was the longest running Sith faction in TGC history, and being such, like all long running factions, had faced various
ups and downs. But its highs were twice as high as a place like RIP was ever able to reach........not by the fault of RIP itself, but more just the fact that
in the old days everything was bigger.

I liked DSO.
It would nice to see it necro'd, or even see Korran's Affinity become a faction. |

I miss those days.
*Reminisces about Skye* |

I would sent Aidan back there in an instant.

If Skye Keller ever came back to lead DSO again....Malice would join her.

Well Ceel, honestly i would say yes. It would give the sith the internal strife they actually needed, i know me and alot of other sith been talking about
"Splintering" into a different cell dedicated to eradicating the lesser sith. And most of those sith are very brutal and enjoy doing evil things for
the fun of it.

Corellia Jagarn |

It wouldn't be "internal strife" if you were two separate groups
I don't see why you can't just fight with each other now. It's not like there's any rules against it - hell, Ceel's even encouraging it. Start stirring something up with each other already. |
|||
Malice Draclau |
|||

We have in the past. Well, some of us have anyways.
|
|||
Corellia Jagarn |
|||

So what's stopping you from doing it again?
|

Michael Matale |

I'm not sure about a new force faction, we don't have quite the membership for that yet, from what I can tell. Although, I do think there
should be more opportunities for force users both rogue, and in the neutral factions, hence the discussion in the other thread.
