My Attack of the Clones experience was much like The Phantom Menace. I saw it on the second day of its release though this time it was in down town Tacoma rather than Lakewood. There was still a healthy line for it, though. If I remember properly, it might have been bigger than last time: People were still sporting costumes and props. My mates and I even bought a few toy lightsabers and brought them along to the showing. It was fantastic!

That was almost my story. I was actually at the University of Washington doing a few courses for transfer credits the night it came out so I was majorly bummed that I didn't make the first showing. But it was all fine in the end because the crowds were still absolutely fantastic. That's what I like about Star Wars releases: People get pumped up, the anticipation is high like what you experience at a good football game and you get that sense of community. To me, a new Star Wars release is like getting reacquainted with an old friend. It's a timeless experience that you'll most likely remember all the days of your life.

I still definitely remember Revenge of the Sith. It was the first and last time I ever went to a midnight premier of Star Wars - absolutely fantastic!

That was one thing that kept me sort of upset about the whole thing. On one hand I was excited that yet again, there was another Star Wars release to be had and on the other, there was that knowledge that this would be it: No more live action releases.

And about those fans... I was actually thinking while I was in line: "Wouldn't it be weird if I was actually standing next to someone from TGC?"
