I hope they don't give it the flair of a gothic fantasy. On the other hand, Anne Hathaway hasn't starred in fantasies like that before so that could be
different for the good or the bad.

Tim Burton movies are usually good but I wont see them in the theater due to the crazed gothic fanbase that follows him around with their crazy retarded
makeup, chains, collars, dark clothes, trench coats etc. That all talk about how beautiful a black rose with thorns is...

In related Depp news:
Universal's John Dillinger drama Public Enemies will see some competition for adults from the studio's own R-rated fashionista flick. Audiences have been somewhat pleased with the Johnny Depp pic so compared to director Michael Mann's last two films - both also star-driven adult dramas with R ratings released in the summer - Enemies should hold up better than Miami Vice (60% second weekend drop) but not as well as Collateral (35%). A 45% decline would lead to a $14M frame and $67M cume after 12 days. |

I'm really looking forward to this. I'm a fan of Tim Burton's work - am I one of the only people who liked Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?
- and this should offer a nice twist to Alice in Wonderland. Johnny Depp looks
really good as the Mad Hatter.
Course, I'm still holding out for a movie version of American Mcgee's Twisted Alice game (I'd rather have that more than this)...... but that's another topic for another thread.

They have been talking about this since I was in highschool, At one point Merline Manson was supposed to be in it. Or that was the rumor...same with Charley
and the chocolate factory if I remember right.
Are they finaly going to do it? And is it going to be American McGee's style? |
