"Good morning, citizens of the Empire, and welcome to the morning edition of the HoloNews Network: You're only unbiased new source in the galaxy. Today we have Galactic Economy expert, Malrek Nado in our Imperial Broadcasting Studios. Later on, he'll tell us about the recent crisis that has been sweeping the Trade Ship industry! But now, we're going to tell you all about the recent developments on Telos IV."

[The holoprojector shows an image of the planet with an Imperial fleet orbiting above it.]

"Two weeks ago, the Imperial High Command dispatched a fleet to Telos IV on a diplomatic mission concerning planetary defenses. According to our sources, Telos has not had an official defense system since the Sith War over a thousand years ago. An Imperial Navy representative, Colonel Galik Montery met with Chancellor Cuza Onal just one week ago to discuss these issues and it was only until last evening that they came to an agreement: Our Empire will now protect Telos just as if it were an Imperial planet. But that's not all of the good news! Telos officials say that new negotiations are going to be underway pretty soon to discuss the planet actually joining the Empire. Colonel Galik has released a statement saying:" [The HoloProjector produces footage of the Colonel speaking to the press.]

"Telos - Imperial?"

" '…Chancellor Onal had been voicing his concern over Telos' defense for some time - it just took a little prodding from High Command to finally get the Navy out there to discuss these issues. We hope that Telos will soon be a part of the Empire - we have no doubt they'll make the right decision...'" [End footage]

[The camera is back on Carina.]

"Next in galactic affairs, we're sure that many of you investors have been wondering why the credit flow has stopped coming, well, we're here to tell you. With us today is Malrek Nado, who will tell you all about it. Malrek, thank you for being here. So, what's the cause of this problem?"

[The camera shifts from Carina to Malrek - a Chiss male with a similar Coruscanti accent - who is shuffling through his papers.]

"Alright, I've heard this question many times this week and I'm about to get to the butt of it: The Trade Ship industry. Well, if you recall, Jabba the Hutt has opened the trade routes of Tattooine to the Empire. Because of this, you've got all of these ships swarming to the planet but you know what the problem with that is? Someone at the Sector Authority forgot how high the conversion from credits to pegetts is in the Outer Rim Territories! Now the ships are having trouble refueling and while they're docked, they're being torn vandalized or stripped by no doubt Hutt-affiliated gangsters! Some of our vessels are already hopelessly stranded!"

[The camera goes back to Carina.]

"So this is the main reason why trading is low in this sector?"

[Back to Malrek. He's enthusiastically nodding at her confirmation.]

"Carina, that's exactly it!" [He sobers up a bit.] "I'll admit that the majority hasn't faced this problem but you know how investors on the Galactic Market are - skittish lot! Well, I'd say sell. It can't get much worse if you're in Kuat Shipping."
